1. Overview

Xnapture ("we", "us", "our") is a Chrome extension and website that lets you capture and beautify screenshots. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.

2. What We Collect

Screenshots

Screenshots you take are processed entirely on your device. They are never uploaded to our servers, never stored in the cloud, and never shared with third parties. All rendering, editing, and export happens locally in your browser.

Email address

If you choose to upgrade to Pro, we collect your email address to verify your purchase and provide access across devices. Your email is stored securely in our database and is never sold or shared with third parties.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data: stripe.com/privacy

Extension settings

Your editor preferences (padding, backgrounds, presets, etc.) are stored locally using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

3. What We Do Not Collect

4. Permissions We Request

The extension requests the following Chrome permissions and here is why each one is needed:

5. Data Retention

We retain your email address and Pro status for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing support@xnapture.com. We will delete your account and all associated data within 7 days.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services for operating Xnapture Pro:

Supabase — database hosting (email + plan storage)
Stripe — payment processing
Resend — transactional email (magic link delivery)
Vercel — website hosting

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. They only receive the minimum data necessary to perform their function.

7. Children's Privacy

Xnapture is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Xnapture after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
